UMKC 6 year BA/MD - class of 2011

by the way, i'm replying to HRAO's message...good luck!!

i agree w/ babanana. i called mrs. morgennegg to ask her if any decision had been made about my app. she said she would like me to come to an interview (scheduled for this wed.). I was very suprised since I thought I wouldn't get an interview and everyone was already contacted for an interview.

Dumbstruck, what are your stats?

1280 SAT
29 ACT
Top 5%
Out of State
Interview on Wed.

hey every one... My name is zain and i just found this website.. i applied to umkc med. program as well...

are u instate or out of state?

babanana, r u considered instate?

I am out of state.
how about you guyz? which state are you all from?

what i dont get it; i thought they were suppose to call us. not the other way around.

i tried calling yesterday and the answering machine said mrs. morgannegg was out of her office for long periods of time- what should I do?

I got the same answering machineee blah

lol, same here, i really do hope i get an interview...

i'm instate.

more importantly, truth be told, they are supposed to call you but UMKC is really behind. Just leave a message (don't harass the answering machine.)

Thanks
Sarah

Hi, I am applying to this program and have had my interview, but I still have a few questions?
-Are freshmen allowed to bring a car?
-When are roomates assigned or choosen?
-About how many people are given acceptance letters
compared to the amount of people interviewed?

stltokc, yes freshmen can bring a car. when you fill out a residence form for living in the dorm after being accepted, you can note down any preferences you have for a roomate, I believe.

Sarah08kc-
Sure you do. My class rank is 6/83 and my uwgpa is 3.95, and I got an interview. Bring your ACT up if you can, but that's not a big point for them. It's the EC they care about. Job shadowing, ACES; that's where it's at. People with 36 on the ACT have been turned down (I asked) so don't get too fixated on the numbers.

sarah08kc, don't let the high stats that are posted on here scare you- you are very well qualified. if you can get your act up a few points that would be even better, but def. don't stress if you arent able to get it up to 30+ because you have an awesome gpa and tough courses
good luck!

hi im new here and i just got a call for an interview today. its scheduled for next week and i am extremely nervous about the interview. any tips for how i should go in?

I keep calling them, and I can't get a hold of anyone. Why is this?
