UMKC 6 year BA/MD - class of 2011

i think post marked by. the umkc rep said that the Nov. 15 test dates are fine because it normally goes to the schools right away so it should be there on or around Nov 15, at least post marked by. i am taking it tomorrow and im so stressed out. if i dont get a 30 im going to cry. lol. oh well, it wont be the end of the world i guess.

all right ill just have to use fedex fast shipping to get there sooner

Cardinals are world champions!!

wow ACT today was hard. i guess ill just send my score of 30 to umkc. hope that is enough for out of stater.

it was hard! plus i got 2 off on the science section so i like missed them all. grrr. i am so angry with myself. i guess its ok because i didnt really understand the science section anyway. darn science.

i loved the science sections- i didn't even have to really read the information because I had already done those labs. But I KNOW I missed at least half of the english section reading comprehension questions. Does anyone know if a 1390/1600 or 2030/2400 on the SAT with good ec's could get me anywhere? I am also in the top 3% in a crazy competitive school of about 560 ppl.

Just a question- how many indians are applying to umkc?

Sorry for all of these posts, but where are the essays for umkc?? I don't see any on the undergrad app and only see one personal statement on the BS/MD app...is that the only one? thanks.

yeah....(remember when you applied to UMKC already and got this part of the app...) no essays

md4me with a 1390, you can still qualify for this program. um you could do other undergrad schools but i believe you want bs/md programs right? conley scholar, drexel, lehigh, slu med program. i dont know or i dont want to guarantee if you can get in into like Northwestern or Brown, but definately it is worth a shot if you are really interested in med.

I am Pakistani -- that's close to Indian. Anyways, has everyone already applied. I think I will send my app this week. I am really nervous though.

i already sent mine. im so nervous. i wish you could get results right away but on here it said that most dont get notified till like march. that is going to be horrible. i think waiting 4 weeks for the ACT results is horrible. I loved the english section. english is my subject. oh well. i'll just wait and see.

would umkc allow u to update your ACT score? (planning on re-taking in Dec.)

yeah- that's what I was wondering earlier~ if we can just wait till Dec. and send in a score or if they want a base score sent by the app deadline and then score updates throughout the year... I know u can update it, but I'm still not sure if u can wait and just send the dec. score without sending a prelim. score first
also, i haven't sent my app in yet and it's going to be a while till I do. is it a disadvantage if i send it just a day or 2 before the deadline?

also, i haven't sent my app in yet and it's going to be a while till I do. is it a disadvantage if i send it just a day or 2 before the deadline?

Nope; not at all.

dont worry oshkosh, i will be sending 2 days before the deadline. someboday please ask does the act october score must be sent before nov 15.

i dont think so, i think u can send a later one. im not sure though. i'll ask the office tomorrow

any news about the act score tiedye??

my high school said that they probably mean that they want them by the deadline but u can still update it later on. she said to go ahead and send what u have but still send your new scores, just incase.

Sorry if this is a repeat question for some, but is UMKC the first choice for all of you? Any other colleges? I have narrowed my decision down to UMKC or SLU.
