50K TO 60K minimum

@klm will you send your child there?

Like is this her top choice? Just wondering… Cuz I have a feeling she is going to end up somewhere even better :slight_smile:

I still haven’t heard anything from UMKC with regards to interview, either way. What should I do?

I noticed I hadn’t signed the econsent on Pathway (missed it somehow), perhaps it’s in the snail mail?

@Ahmer50. I think waiting for 12 days is enough…you’ve shown such patience. Consider giving them a call tomorrow. They might not give you the decision over the phone. Try asking if they’ve mailed a letter to you. Since you did not sign the e-consent, the decision might be an interview invitation, alternate list, or denial. Good luck!

@dual I’m really nervous about getting into the program… Do u think I may have a good chance if almost all the interviewers were like smiling at what I was saying and considering that I’m only one from nj? :frowning: I just hope I get into at least one program as of now… I only have two interviews and I’m waiting for Albany :frowning:

@desigirl I don’t know your stats, but it sounds like your interviews went well. I don’t think you have much to worry about if you have the stats to back it up

@bjk7ddy
Sat 1420/1600 so around 32 to 33ish
2nd rank 4.342 GPA
600 hrs med research 2 internships research publications
Loads of leadership co founded health club etc
800 hrs community service at local hospital and nursing home
Pre med honors program etc
It’s hard to type all of my stats since i am on my phone, but loads of awards lots of service and research etc do u think I have a shot?

@DualDegreeDoc:

Thank you for the wonderful advice. I called the admissions department today and it turns out they had the wrong email (surprising, since the undergrad portion of the program has sent me several emails). Regardless, they’ve fixed it now, and the receptionist asked me to call back at the end of the week if I don’t hear anything.

@desigirl I would say your applicant profile is super. So there’s nothing to worry about there. At this point, if you did well on your interview, you have a good chance of getting accepted.

The thing is I’m not able to judge how extremely well I did cuz of the mmi process but I was able to get everything across at each of the 10 stations

everyone internet slap desigirl for asking about how her chances are because obviously no one knows! she also has awesome stats and will definitely end up somewhere good. CALM THE HELL DOWN.

@desigirl your stats are great, don’t stress over it now, there’s nothing you can do to change it, just wait and see. Stressing is bad, relaxing is good, anywhere you go for med school you’ll learn that lol.

:slight_smile: ok guys wish me luck on u toledo they accept 10/15 ppl they interview!

@sanguine. You’re funny :slight_smile:

@desigirl23. At this rate, I’m afraid that you might have a nervous breakdown before you finish medical school.

One of the item that the UMKC School of Medicine asked your letter of recommendation writer to rate you on is your …

DEALING WITH STRESSFUL ENVIRONMENTS
(Resilience, Persistence, Adaptability, Tolerance of anxiety, etc.)

  1. ___ 2. ___ 3. ____ 4. ____ 5. _____

How do you think you are doing ? :slight_smile:

A doctor needs to be able to console himself/herself before he or she can comfort others.

:slight_smile: okay I won’t get nervous anymore guys lol just wish me luck

Good luck desigirl23 at the University of Toledo interview.

You’re very much welcome Ahmer50 and Alexander255110.

Does it matter on the number of interviews we get to get accepted into a program? I only got 2 :frowning:

Im not sure what you are asking. That just means you only have two programs that could pick you. It affects your overall chances, but not your chances with each individual program.
