What are the pros and cons of both programs?

well UMKC gets done in 6 years and has no MCAT requirements. it also has relatively low SAT/ACT and GPA requirements/averages for applicants of the program. unfortunately, you get absolutely no summer breaks in this program and have to finish UG work in just 2 years so course load may be a bit tough.

Plus UMKC shows no mercy to OOS students financially. You’ll be in MASSIVE debt if you go to that program as an OOS student.

Yeah, their UG tuition and fees for OOS was approaching 50K. Yikes!

NEOUCOM requires MCAT…of 24. Some people get 25+ without any prep. on their first diagnostic test. So, I would not consider 24 as a real requirement. NEOUCOM is either 6 years or 7, you have an option. UG is 2 years, but it is not finished in 2 years. They get their BS in the middle of Med. School. There are no summers off. IS tuition is covered by some Merit awards, but not at 100%. I do not know about OOS. My D. was accepted at NEOUCOM 4 years ago, but choose non-accelerated bs/md program, that also gave her full tuition Merit award for UG.
