Well.. I just started senior year today and I'm not sure if my schedule is considered "strong" or not for UCLA. Here's my schedule, so can you please tell me.

Honors Advanced Composition
AP Physics C
AP Calculus BC
AP Gov't
AP Art History
Service Student for AP Chemistry

The reason I have service is because there were no other classes that I could've put in. I'm missing French 3 because it can only be offered during 1st period and there are no other English classes (AP or Honors) that are offered other than 1st period. So yea, is it still a "strong" class schedule even with the service period? It's still 4 APs, good enough for UCLA?

in state or out of state?

in state, I live in LA

It's fine. What's really important is how your current GPA/SAT scores stand.

"It's fine. What's really important is how your current GPA/SAT scores stand."

actually, if your school offers around 5 or more aps and every class has an honors class also, and you decide to take all regular classes to get a 4.0 gpa, colleges will know this and it will actually hurt you that you took the easy way out.

As long as it's the most rigorous possible, you're good. =)

actually i have a new schedule now.

French 3
AP Physics C
AP Calculus BC
Honors Advanced Composition
AP Government
Service Student for AP Chemistry
AP Psych (this is independent study course, but I've talked to some people including my counselor and some teachers and they said that it will still be on the transcript)

I'd try to get into Honors French 3, if I were you, and AP English Language.

You're fine - you're still challenging yourself in your senior year. For UCLA, you don't need to max yourself out.

I am pretty sure that the 3rd year of language is a must for good schools. Glad you changed your first schedule.

dude, that's perfectly fine...

dont worry, for instate people UC is a piece of cake.
just dont be an idiot
