umm is this a good score?

Did some blue book work (practice tests)
verbal: 600
writing: 605
math: 650
good? good enough to get into some service acdemies?

Don't ask what's good on CC because everyone will tell you something different. My standards are: anything 600 or above is good, and 700 or above is great. So I would say it's a good score, but what others would say, I don't know. What academies are you looking at?

605 in writing?

^ Yea I looked and that and started to rofl

??? whats so funny?

^^the scores are graded in increments of 10..600, 610, 620, etc

ok what happened was I graded my essay and then my mc and got a scaled score of 5 hundred sumtin and 6 hundred sumtin and took the average of both so i made a mistake.

im just taking a guess.. but the person said he/she took the test in the blue book. Thus, the scores he/she listed are probably the median values of ranges listed in the book. Thus, it is possible for someone to say they got a 605 in the book if the range listed for their raw score was something like 560-650

Oh, I totally missed the part about you using the blue book.

what is the 'blue book'?

Blue Book- College Board's official SAT prep book that has eight real New Sats

how much does it cost? Do they have a software version of it?

i got mine for $20 at Barnes and Noble VERY GOOD BOOK! I recommend it

"Yea I looked and that and started to rofl"

ya...that's...hilarious

what is 'rofl'?

roll on floor laughing

whoever got the book at barne's and nobles must be rich.

get it from amazon.com cheaper

Roflcopter

ha, I got it at Borders. It was about $20 I think... I could have probably gotten it cheaper online, but when I heard about it on here, I was excited and desperate to have it as quickly as possible! I had my mom drive me up to Borders the same night :D
