Hi everyone. I am about to graduate w/ a degree in Civil Engineering from UCF (closest thing they have to architecture). I have a 3.5 gpa & so-so extra-circular experience (Historian for ASCE & some Habitat for Humanity) -- nothing too competitive, but I do plan on studying abroad which should help me stand out more. I'm a little nervous about making a portfolio (since most will have their undergrad architecture projects to put in theirs), but I know what school's are looking for just by looking at examples online, so I'm not too worried. What are my chances of getting into the University of Minnesota's Sustainable Design grad program given my situation? What are the main deciding factors (i.e. -- gpa, portfolio, essay, etc.) & what do you think I need to work on most since I have a couple years left of undergrad @ UCF? Thanks!

Hey Jnilsh, unfortunately I don’t think you’re going to find a poster on these boards that is very familiar with the sustainable design grad program. I would try to contact the department directly or perhaps a professor from the website that is working on something you find interesting. Best of luck.
