<p>Acceptances should start being sent next week, and I, for one, cannot wait. This can be where we celebrate, mourn, or feel apathetic towards this event.</p>

<p>I think chimichonga is speaking of merit scholarship acceptances. If you look at last year’s threads they start around the 14th. </p>
<p>I’m expecting the rest of the acceptances to come out later, closer to the end of march.</p>
<p>But what do I know? I still daily anxiously await the mail.</p>
<p>^ I see what you mean, sciencegal. Is it just the STRIDE scholarship notification that is sent in the mail, or are others as well?</p>
<p>The engineering scholarship that’s $10,000/year is also sent in the mail. Two years ago these arrived during Smith’s spring break (my sister applied that year and was offered the engineering scholarship) but that’s not a sure thing about anything.</p>

I heard that last year they were sent somewhere around the 14-19, and other colleges have said about the same. I figured that Smith wouldn’t differ by too much.</p>
<p>Ladies, for clarification, I looked up the CC posts on last year’s acceptances on the Smith forum. My daughter’s STRIDE letter dated 3/13/09 arrived 3/15/09 via snail mail (in Massachusetts) so it’s reasonable to assume similar timing this year for STRIDE notifications.</p>
<p>Last year Smith had students check Bannerweb online regarding their applications on 3/20/09, so I would think the timing would also be similar this year. Last year 3/20/09 was a Friday, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this year it is 3/19/10, a Friday. We’ll see. If you’re in, the fat envelope with the significant letter and financial aid should arrive via snail mail on or after the Bannerweb posting.</p>
<p>Wow, that’s so soon! I would really love a STRIDE, but I know how rare they are…an acceptance would be good, too ;)<br>

<p>I really do hope decisions are released next Friday. I already have the 19th marked on the calendar in my phone. I was looking at the acceptance date thread from last year nearly a month ago, and estimated.</p>

<p>It feels like it’s taking SO long. I like the wait because if I don’t get in, I’m not disappointed yet. But would like to be happy if I do get in, or maybe wait listed wouldn’t be bad.</p>
