Unable to Reply to Interviewer

Hey guys,

I was contacted by my interviewer today. He said he wanted to meet up for the interview today and asked me about my availability. When I replied to him I got the “Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently” error message. The error message goes on to say that the UPenn server said “user unknown” in regards to the guy I was trying to contact. This means the problem most likely on their end.

So I guess my real question is, what do I do in this situation? I’ve already contacted the office of undergraduate admissions and explained the whole situation. I’m hoping they have a solution because right now I have no way of contacting my interviewer.

Thanks for your help,
Dragon23

Did your interviewer leave you a phone number to contact them with? I would try resending the email and double check to make sure your email is sending to the right person. Also, interviews are set up by the alumni association not the office of admissions, so the admissions office can’t help you with that.

Yeah, I sent the message two more times, got the same error. Unfortunately he did not give me any other contact information. Is there someone I can contact at the alumni association to sort this out?

Interviews are not set up by admissions but that’s still the correct route to go if you have trouble like this. Although the situation is a bit different, this still applies (From the Penn Interview FAQ):

I was contacted for an interview, but I accidentally deleted the email/voicemail message or lost the paper with interview details. How may I get in touch with my interviewer?

If you find yourself in this situation, please contact your Regional Director of Admissions (or the general Penn Admissions contact information).
