It depends on if financial aid is an issue, whether you want a traditional college campus (UNC) or a city/lack of campus (NYU), and how far you want to be from home (provided you don’t live equidistant from both).

I don’t think either is particularly distinguished over the other in terms of political science programs. If you be more specific, I can give you a better answer.

honestly I am from NJ
and I’m sick of the tri-state area
I want to expand my horizon’s, endure the college experience

I’m sick of the city

I want the full college experience
and I want to attend law school

will it hire my chances if I got to UNC outta state?
will it make a difference

thanks
let me know ur perspective
and what u know

i would go to chapel hill in a heart beat. no, getting into unc out of state doesn’t make you special in law school admissions peoples’ eyes. it will make a difference in that it’s a strong school overall and you go there, so do well and that’s what will be important.

NYU doesn’t have a real campus. Just some buildings scattered around NYC. Big drug scene around the school and in nasty Washington Square Park(park across the street from the school). You’re from the tri-state area so you should know that NYC is expensive. I forget to add, NYU is so overrated. I am of the belief that people go their just to brag. Being from NYC I never was interested or saw NYU as being interesting. I had an adjunct professor from their who taught me this past fall at my community college and he was a snob. He acted like he was better then us cause he went their and to top that off he failed me for no apparent reason. NYU sucks in my books.

dude, if you’re sick of tri-state, go to NC and don’t look back!

dude, Miss American Pie,
I just said the same thing to a friend

and thanks for all your advice
I did hear NYU is overrated as hell
and I can imagine how stuck up the professors are

UNC is my calling
ne other opinions, much appreciated?

I would say UNC too. Sounds like it’s exactly what you’re looking for!

Post this on the Search & Selection forum too if you like, your question is broader than just about transferring.

My vote is for UNC-CH

Unc-ch :)
