Good luck, y'all...I'm in-state, so it's kind of a safety for me, lol.

The Morehead is ridiculously hard to get - only about a hundred people out of the thousands that apply even make it to finals in March. I self-nominated anyway...I decided "what the heck, if I don't try, I'll never know..."

I would send UNC your ACT score, as the 31 composite is about the same as a 1370 SAT I. Also, I would check undecided if biology is what you want to major in, if possible. The reason I say that is that your science score on the ACT is a bit low for Chapel Hill.

Just a suggestion, but you should have a few matches and safeties, as UNC admissions can be very competative for out-of-staters. If you like UNC, try UGeorgia, UMaryland, and Wake Forest, for example. Since your from TN, then UT-Knoxville would be a great choice, as would Vandy, and Rhodes (for a smaller college).

thanks so much. yeah i know its sad i want to be a doctor. but my science score sucks. i seriously think something stupid happend. cause i had a 27 my sophmore year. whatever. :-). ive applied to UGA, UTK. well i guess ill just see what happens from there. but thanks for your input

The rumors you've hard are a little inaccurate. UNC-CH isn't hard to get into, although you should try picking up the SAT if you've got the chance (not really a requirement, just might help ya out). The ACT isn't really a big deal in the south, so if UNC is really at the top of your list, I suggest working on SATs a lot.

I also must tell you, that place is freaking crowded with asians/indians. It's like ASA central.

guys, we need to realize that we really are the select of most applicant pools. CC makes everyone feel dumb, but thats b/c only because it is a selfselected group of ppl. And luckily there is room for everyone. SO just relax, and perkidesi, come on you're indian-you'll be a doctor. just relax go watch a hindi movie, you too Neelesh. I heard Veer Zarha was good rent that. lol
