Hi! I'm applying out of state to UNC-CH and I'm not really sure what to expect.
GPA: 4.03 Weighted (my school doesn't class rank)
ACT: Composite: 34
English: 35
Math: 32
Science: 35
Reading: 33
Writing: 9
Extracurriculars: 4 year letterman in varsity tennis, cross country, and indoor track
National Honor Society
French Honors
11 AP Classes
Involved in various other service organizations
Wrote my essay about being the oldest of six children
Something to mention is that both my parents attended the University as well as all of their siblings and my grandparents on one side (not sure that second part matters).
I live in VA and I'm also applying to UVA, William and Mary, CNU, Colorado College, and Wake Forest.
Any thoughts are much appreciated!

CO College: Match/High match
WF: Low match/Match
W&M: Match
UVA: Match
CNU: Safety
UNC-CH: Reach (you may as well have applied to Duke)

Weighted GPA needs to be much higher, it looks like you didn’t do well in your AP classes since it’s so low. Also, your unweighted GPA is not posted, that’s the one we need to see.

thanks so much!

and I got a pretty even mix of B’s and A’s in AP classes

Update: I’ve gotten in everywhere (yes UNC) except UVA (deferred) and W&M (decision comes out 4/1). Just goes to show that its worth a shot, also legacy helps.
