I also wrote what my English teacher claimed was an amazing essay for the common application essay which I turned into a condensed version for UNC and I am very confident that my teachers will write good recommendations for me.

So what are my chances for an out of stater who applied early action? I know the Jan. 21st notification date is not too far away, but I'm so anxious to foresee my result. :)

Thanks in advance!

Tabby123 I think you have as good a shot as an out-of-stater can have but the oos admissions are a crapshoot. If its possibke to raise your sat i think you will put yourself in the best position.

Now I wish I could, but I applied EA and my application is locked and under review. That probably would heighten my chances than an extra point or two on the ACT, oh well. Thank you for the chancing! :)

Yes, for OOS it is difficult to predict. A year ago, a guy was rejected by UNC and got into Harvard…

I’d say you have a pretty good shot but who knows, it’s UNC right? Man you look better than I do for OOS there…good thing I applied RD and you’re ED haha, don’t want that comparison. BTW, consider a deferral or waitlist at UNC an acceptance to Cornell haha

so did you get in? if so, was it what you hoped for?

It looks like he went to Clemson.
