i already got accepted to my match school that i really like (wisconsin madison) so if i get rejected from cornell ED, im just going to apply to reaches. so let me know if they're even worth the app money...

white middle class female, NY
top public school

SAT: CR720, M730, W710
SATII: Math 700, US History 710
UW GPA:3.7

good essays, good recs, good ECs, tough courseload

i want to apply to the business programs at all these schools, btw.

The undergrad B school at UVA is ranked second in the country.

UVA would be right in line with UNC and WM as a slight but not huge reach. Being OOS though, I would say if you don't get into Cornell you probably aren't going to get into these three

It's hard to tell without your ECs per se ("good" is a point of view...what is good for you may not be good for adcoms so we need to see the highlights). It would also be helpful to see what APs you've taken and how you have done in those classes. Without these factors and your class rank, it is harder to gauge your chances but...

UNC-- slight reach-reach (OOS)
W and M-- high match
NYU-- match
Emory-- slight reach
Carnegie Mellon-- high match-slight reach
WashU-- reach

You're into NYU Stern! get packing
