Funny how the ldippity account no longer exists. T-r-o-l-l is probably correct.
Not sure what you mean about my account, but in response to your comment, I’m really just trying to help…it wasn’t much but I thought it might be useful. Have a great day and best of luck!
So they aren’t sending decisions via email? By mail? How will we know to check connect carolina? I’m confused?
I’m sure you’ll get the word. If you aren’t already checking ConnectCarolina, you will know via Twitter, not to mention that this thread will blow-up. Believe me, you will know!
For the past couple of years, the decisions weren’t sent by e-mail, but there was an e-mail sent telling folks how to check their status online. Even if there is no e-mail sent, instructions will appear on the Admissions Blog.
They’re not sending actual decisions via email. They’re just sending emails with reminders/instructions on how to view your decision on ConnectCarolina. In the past, this email usually came 1-2 days before decisions were posted.
so are they definitely still sending emails telling us to check our connect carolina this year or is that what the guy on twitter meant that they won’t be doing that this year? does anyone know or has anyone talked to an admissions person about this?
That tweet just said they weren’t going to send emails with actual decisions in them. They’ll most likely still send a reminder/instruction email, and if not, you’ll probably find out through their admissions blog, CC, or social media.
So UNC sends out a tweet…to tell people to expect an email…that will then send them to an online account. Where everyone will hopefully find out if they’re in…
Does anyone know how much out of state legacy helps?
—edit–
Where can I access the admissions blog? I follow UNC Admissions on Twitter but I’m not sure what the admissions blog is
Is there any chance they post decision tommorow or Wednesday? Or do they have to do it on a Thursday or Friday?
It’s highly likely to be a Thursday or Friday. I’m personally leaning towards a Thursday.
Hey guys, I applied EA to UNC Chapel Hill and received a letter in the mail today admitting me to the Honors College (called Honors Carolina) and notifying me that I was a merit scholarship finalist. But my portal hasn’t changed at all, so if you are still waiting on a decision, it may just be in the mail.
@lethallydia Wow, that’s an awesome first post on this website. It’s crazy incredible how UNC made an exception for you and not only sent out a mail copy when they strictly said decisions would be electronic this year but also directly accepted you into Honors Carolina without making you do the survey they’ve done for years now. You must be special to have them do all that for you, congrats!
Also, @bobsmith1111111 , I wish it could happen tomorrow, but since they haven’t sent out directions on their blog, the earliest we could hope for is Wednesday or by some crazy, unprecedented miracle, late tomorrow. I’m thinking Thursday though!
Hi! I’ve been watching this thread for awhile now and I’m just as anxious as anyone of you and I’m sure we’re all pulling out our hair to find out an answer! Just be kind to one another! And for people who are saying they got an acceptance letter congratulations, but if you are doing it to get everyone anxious and think it’s funny that is very sickening. Best of luck to y’all I can’t wait to get an answer its my number one school! (:
What time do they usually send out the “how to check your status” email? I haven’t stopped refreshing my email since last week!
