D Accepted OOS (Ohio) - yippee! Did it say anything about honors program admission on this for some? Or is that a “later” decision?
So, does the email invitation to participate in Excel @ Carolina mean no merit scholarship potential for In-State applicants?
D just got Excell @Carolina invitation. I doubt that means no merit scholarship. They are two separate things, really. But interesting question…would live an official answer.

No. Selection for merit scholarships is independent of selection for Excel@Carolina.
Bugspecial I just looked at the FAQ s in the email and, just as I thought, Excel has no bearing on merit scholarships.

Does anyone know when Scholarship Day(s) will be?
Anyone know the difference between excel@carolina and the honors program? I know I got into the latter along with the scholarship day but I don’t even know what excel is
Excel @ Carolina means you might get Honors Carolina (or one of a few other options). Definitely think the Scholarship Day Invite plus guaranteed Honors Program is better. However, it looks like Honors Program only gives you priority registration for Honors courses (as opposed to all courses) and anyone with B average can participate?
When did you all get the Excel email? Hoping it might be rolling out over the evening… dunno if wishful thinking.
