Is being able to search for classes new or has it been there before?
For everybody asking about when EA decisions came out, I believe everybody was expecting them to be out at 4 and then got upset when they didn’t. Then they came out about 15 minutes later.
Do you mean fall 2016 spring 2017 etc

i think it was there before, just hadn’t actually tried it. for fall 2016. also - i checked the release times from 2013, 2014, and 2015, they were 12ish, 3ish, and 4ish respectively. so decisions should be out in the early afternoon.
Deferred OOS student here! So nervous for tomorrow…I don’t think I can wait any longer!
The most frustrating part of this process is the lack of control. We can estimate the release time based off of the EA decisions (if I recall correctly, they were around 4 pm eastern if not a few minutes past), but the reality is that UNC will post them whenever they want and we’ll have no way to know. We can try to look at our portals for changes, but the most we can do is guess. In my opinion, all it does is get your hopes up and cause you to read into things that probably mean nothing.
That being said, I hope everyone on this board (students especially) can take the next 18-ish hours to relax. Take a bubble bath tonight. Listen to some music. Focus on school tomorrow, and find ways to busy yourself during the day. I regret getting so worked up about my EA decision, when the best thing I could’ve done for myself was to take some me-time beforehand to prepare for whatever news I got.

For anyone who is wondering why they did not get an email-- there is a small section under the “Update Personal Information” page (which can be accessed from the main menu, NOT student center) that says “Receive mass emails? Yes or No.” I had been receiving mass emails for a while but somehow this function got turned to “No,” and this may have been why you didn’t receive it. Once I changed it to yes, I received the email. No real important info in the email but if you’re like me and don’t like to miss anything, you should see if this is why you didn’t get it.
Has anyone clicked everything and seen if anything changed? I see an enrollment purchases button and I don’t think I’ve seen it before, despite the fact that nothing’s there. It has honestly been a fun ride stressing with all of you and I hope to see you guys and UNC if I make it
Also, I have always been able to search for classes. I did one a while back for fun so I don’t think it’s an indicator.
@trajenous You mean the enrollment shopping cart under where it says “You are not enrolled in classes”? Yeah I feel like I haven’t seen that before, but idk. Has anyone else felt this way?
@gq2016 I have only noticed it today, so I’m pretty certain it came up either today or at the very most 2 days ago, I just wanted to check base to make sure I wasn’t losing it lol.

Sorry, it means nothing folks. This was all covered in the EA thread and the same speculation was all over the place. Less than 24 hours. Try to relax, snuggle with your pet, read a book, meditate or whatever, but try to relax. Good Luck to each of you.
I hadn’t noticed it before either. Maybe we’re just awful at paying attention.
I love how this thread was dead for weeks and people were able to go days without worrying about decisions but when there are less than 24 hours until everyone gets a definitive decision everyone starts speculating about every little thing. I am guilty of this too, but I just think it is funny. 
Anyways I hope the next two days goes well for everyone.
