UNC Class of 2021 EA

@gmanhax we need more people like you lol! thanks for the effort i know its a hard decision to give up a school
Everyone good luck!

Feeling so doubtful about my OOS chances… however, miracles have been performed before ;:wink: let Gods will be done. We will all end up where we are meant to be!!!

I wish I could just ask someone on the inside if I got accepted or not.

@sdes2017 I had a 1360 new SAT with a 3.9091 UW gpa. I’m taking the ACT for the first time next month in a last ditch effort to show a different score. Hoping I’ll score higher as science is my strong suit and that isn’t represented on the SAT.

out of state 33act 4.0uw gpa… got rejected from nyu stern in december and uva yesterday… so im not expecting much

Good luck to everyone. My son is a sophmore now and was in the same position as you all are. Decisions were released at end of the day! When you sign onto carolina connect there will be a message when decisions are posted.

So nervous :open_mouth: Good luck everyone!!! <3

can anyone confirm/deny, with a legit link, that decisions will announced 4pm eastern on Friday January 27th?

@inpottershandsx2 Trust me, it’ll be tomorrow around 4pm.

@adp106 nothing against you, but how am i suppose to trust a random guy on a forum? haha, but how do you know?

Well, I can say decisions were not released at midnight :confused:

I was just about to say that. This is so incredibly stressful.

@adp106 Isn’t their acceptance rate 26%?

@MichelleM98 Overall, yes. In-state is 52%, out-of-state is around 15%

@inpottershandsx2 I understand your hesitation in believing me, lol. But I contacted the IT service for ConnectCarolina this morning to ask something about my account and they told me to check tomorrow around 4pm, as decisions would be released then.

@adp106 Okay, I see the 49% in state acceptance rate. Thank you.

does anyone know if unc evaluates IS applications by comparing students to other applicants from their schools? or is it done randomly by comparing one applicant to another applicant in the state overall? (only asking for IS specifically because of the requirements unc must fulfill in order to meet the 82% IS admissions policy so they must have a different process compared to OS application review)

@alyssasabogal Randomly.

How bad does being a white male hurt my chances? I’m SO nervous…

@BRANDONVM being a while female would hurt your chances more so.
