I’m not sure, but I would submit it because it can’t hurt. One of my EA friends who sent a LOCI got in recently
So LOCI doenst impact negatively to my app right?
Depends on the school Read the waitlist FAQs. Some schools strongly discourage and some allow.
Does anyone know if UNC is currently pulling people off the waitlist (and telling them), or if all waitlist decisions will be after May 1st?
Yes. I heard a few ofthose waitlisted EA were pulled off
What were their stats?
did they submit a LOCI?
So does UNC allow loci?
I had the same question…so I looked on the website under decisions/waitlisted/FAQ’s and it states “we do not recommend that you send additional materials”
But doesnt the term ‘additional material’ mean like academic stuff? Dont think loci counts as material
do u think they are going to pull more or less people from the waitlist this year compared to last year?
I just joined, but I wonder when the first wave of decisions will be. UNC is my top choice, and I was waitlisted as a RD applicant. Also, I did not submit a LOCI because of them recommending we do not submit additional material, but I’m not sure if a LOCI constitutes as additional material.
I honestly have nooo idea. I just pray they don’t treat us how they treated last year’s waitlist in the sense that I want to find out my decision by June 30th or hopefully earlier.
They have pulled som EA waitlists already.
Any data on who is getting off the waitlist so far?
Any idea what those pulled stats were?
Is there an advantage to being a EA waitlist applicant over RD?
i hope so.
I’m assuming EA pool was more competitive, so being WL in that pool might mean something? Hopefully
That is my guess because they accepted EA waitlists on the day RD came out. That would seem to indicate the waitlisted students EA were as strong as the RD admitted student pool.
