Did u apply EA?
yeah I did
edit: submitted a LOCI in mid march
Didnât they specifically say not to submit anything else?
I thought they meant for rec letters and stuff, not LOCIâs, so I sent it in.
what were your stats?
3.98/4.5 and 1450 SAT that I submitted
Itâs frustrating when they say âdonât send us anything else we have everything we needâ, but then maybe thatâs not the case? It would be sad if someone who followed the instructions was disadvantaged. Congrats to anyone who gets in, that is awesome, but this whole process is disappointing.
Agree. My son is on the waitlist at his first choice. They very clearly say only the information in your application and the waitlist form will be considered to determine whether you get off the waitlist. However, there are 4900 people on the waitlist. My son has a significant update which we have not sent because we are following the directions. His college counselor reaffirmed not to send it. I hope we are not hurting him with this.
Iâm starting to think the high school counselors play a much bigger role in this process than I might have thought. Ours is young and inexperienced. She doesnât know my student very well because sheâs new to the school this year. She said donât send anything and there is no point in contacting them, but then I hear about kids sending stuff anyway and counselors calling and advocating for kids. Itâs yet another way that the process veers away from the kidsâ own efforts and toward the competence of the adults supporting/advising/helping them. Very frustrating.
I wonder what it means that they released decisions on a random Thursday. Anyone have any guess as to when we could hear next? is it just rolling like they could make decisions today??
Agree. I think that is why the school says they donât consider anything else so everyone is on a level playing field, and that is fine if they really donât consider anything else. Who knows though?
are you gonna accept?
Has anyone sent 3rd quarter grades? If so, how do we send them? (or does your counselor send them)
I submitted mine through my portal and I also emailed them to somebody .
Didnât they say not to send anything?
Yes, they did. Honestly, it was just a personal decision I made to submitted my self-reported grades. I am not sure how helpful or important it was, but it was mainly to keep a line of communication. I hope this wasnât confusing.
*submit.
Yeah I just donât understand how âdonât send us anythingâ turns into kids sending things. I would hope they wouldnât look at anything sent since they said not to. Good luck to you though!
I would honestly just send it. Send it to the admissions counselor. They applauded my boyfriend for all his updates
Does anyone have any updates on how admission is going or any inside info as to when they might release more?
