@tsbna44 Those are great options!
It just shows how much of a crapshoot college admissions are. I’m OOS and was accepted into honors Carolina, yet was deferred by UGA and didn’t get a notification to expect any kind of merit scholarship from South Carolina.
Congrats to your daughter

Daughter accepted to Accelerated Research Program yesterday. She has a bunch of good choices but mom is hoping she chooses UNC!!!

36 ACT, 4.0 UW, 11 APs, Strong EC, National Merit Semi (in high index state). WL OOS. Ugh.

ACT single sitting not superscored (if that even matters). It was hard to take where we, probably hardest hit part of US, so only got one crack.

I got accepted !!! OOS (non-legacy)
I also got into Honor Carolina !!!

Congrats!!! So true - We know kids that got in to SC honors with lots of merit, accepted at UGA, but waitlisted at UNC. Our student got into UNC w/o honors, but into SC honors with merit. Shows that they are all looking for different things in their student body.

Does anyone know how to tell if we were accepted to Honors Carolina? I’m assuming IS students receive priority as well?

I heard a rumor that not all of them were released but I’m not sure. I’m in state and got accelerated research program, but no mention of honors. It on main status page under “special opportunities”
