Unc ea 2025

First and foremost, CONGRATS!! I don’t even see a special opportunities page. Would it only be there if I was selected for a program, or am I just missing it?

For me it is very obvious. It’s under the decision tab.
Unfortunately, I think it may mean you weren’t selected. I’m really sorry.

I’m not overly worried. Just excited to get into UNC regardless. I can always apply freshman year

Accepted OOS (International), daughter also offered a place in Honors Carolina.
Any news on Chancellor’s Science Scholars and Carolina Innovation Scholars? Have they nominated students?

I don’t think IS receive priority for special programs. IS advantage is just getting into UNC because the NC legislature capped OOS percentage at 18%.

Once you are past that there’s no special advantage for IS.

IS is included in 18% cap or they have a special %age?

How did you find out? Where did you see that?

Guys, is everybody’s acceptance letter the same? Do they say the same to every accepted student?

Guys I got into Honors Carolina

As an International

Are all Special Opportunities recipients advised at the same time they receive their admission offer?

Accepted OOS!
3.91 UW
5 APs (no scores submitted)
No SAT/ACT (test-optional)
No school ranking (my school doesn’t rank)
Strong EC’s!

Does anyone know when financial aid/other merit scholarships will be out?

By IS you mean in-state correct?

Per NC legislation, out of the 100% of students accepted no more than 18% is to be OOS students, meaning 82% should be in-state students.

UNC actually receives far more OOS applications than IS, which is why there is such a large difference between OOS and IS acceptance rates.

Sorry, I mean IS(International Student).

Ah, got it, yes.

BTW the cap only applies to entering freshman, not transfers.

Were you a legacy?

To anyone wondering about their aid package, I found out that you can actually check it by following the steps listed on UNC Username and Email - Undergraduate Admissions!

Received an email at 9pm last night to log into the financial portal for the financial aid award.
