UNC Early Action (OOS)? Carolina Scholars? Morehead?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if I could get an opinion. I really don't know how competitive admission is for UNC, and especially how qualified I would need to be for consideration for some of the scholarships offered by the university. Here's a quick summary of my stats:

-AP US History - 5

-AP Spanish Language
-AP Government (US + Comparative)
-Honors Math Analysis
-AP English Literature
-AP Microeconomics
-AP Macroeconomics (second sem.)
-AP Environmental Science
Class Rank: 9/896

EC's:

>1st place Illinois State Career Development Conference - Financial Analysis - Junior Year
>2nd place Illinois State Career Development Conference - Ad. Campaign - Junior Year
>Finalist (top 10 in nation) at International Career Development Conference
>Currently am VP of Fundraising at my school's chapter

Spanish Honors Society:
>Required to have a B average or higher in Spanish freshman and sophomore years
>Joined senior year
>Am president of the club (provide free tutoring to students in Academic Resource Center, explore Hispanic culture through enrichment opportunities)

Played golf (JV) sophomore year and (V) senior year
>Academic All-Conference senior year

Played tennis sophomore year

Had a internship at a local business over the summer - was let into the decision making process in a real-life situation (35 hours/week)

Currently employed in a retail setting (Banana Republic)

Just wanted to get some outside opinions to reassure me until decision time!

It's hard to say. UNC is really competitive Out of State. You never really know what the admissions people are looking for. You obviously have good grades and activites.

I can't really speak for admissions, but I can speak for the scholarships. What they scholarship folks have said is that they look for 'spark' in an application. The people who get the full rides aren't necessarily the people with the best stats, but who have a great essay or something like that.

Good luck! If you are being considered for a scholarship, you'll probably hear about that before you hear if you got it, haha.

you'll get in, but scholarship will be anyone's guess.
