I got an email today from UNC that told me to go to my personal page and "complete my application". I completed my application 2 months ago and all of my materials are in, so I called the Admissions office to see what was up, and they told me that it was just a email they sent to me on accident. Then I asked if they had gotten my letters from my professors, and the lady told me that she didn't have access to that information because... my application was in committee! I'm extremely confused about this because I thought deadline was March 1 for all apps! Does anyone know what this could mean??? Thanks in advance.

Hey VolMan, I received the same email and then another one saying: disregard, we already have your application. I have no idea what the in-committee thing could mean though. Maybe they think you're really smart and want to review your app early?

I doubt its because they think I'm really smart, they're probably trying to get out the obvious rejects early. Not really, best of luck with admission!

volman, you're looking way too MUCH into everything. yes, everybody got the email to complete the transfer application. and you should've also received an email right after that saying that 'we received your application, please disregard the previous email, etc'

and i'm pretty sure they start reviewing the apps all at the same after the deadline has passed since it is not rolling. so stop worrying so much.
