I’m a high school senior trying to decide between UNC Chapel Hill and University of Richmond, so I’m hoping that students from those schools/students who had similar trouble choosing a college could give me some advice.
Here are some things about me:
- I am interested in studying political science or psychology, I would really like to do research, and I will most likely go to grad school
- At UNC I would have to earn $3000 (per year) from work study but the rest would be covered by grants, while at UR I would only need $1500 from work study but I would have to take out about $6000 in loans
- I’m very politically active and liberal, and I don’t want to be involved in Greek life so I’d prefer a school that wasn’t ambivalent towards politics and didn’t have a social life centered around frats/sororities
- I’ve only ever gone to small schools, so I’m not sure whether I’d prefer a big or small college (although I don’t think I would have a problem learning at either one)
I would really appreciate any advice that anyone can offer! Thank you!!
