UNC Pharmacy Admissions - preferance to NC residents?

I'm aware that general admissions to UNC-CH is super state-favored, but what about their pharmacy grad school? I was recently accepted to UNC-CH and am highly considering attending...however, I'm from OOS so I'll be a non-resident. I'm thinking of attending UNC as an undergrad then applying to UNC's pharmacy school. Would the fact that I still would not be a resident lessen my chances of acceptance?

you can get residency if you live in nc for more than 1 year. 4 years of undergrad here at chapel hill will be plenty to fulfill this state requirement. Since UNC does recruite in state individuals more, it’s better you convert your residency to an NC person (after freshman yr ug, I’m sure you don’t want to spend extra money being an OOS).
Here is a fact posted by the UNC website:
"Do you accept out-of-state students into your program?

Yes. However, because we are a state-supported school, no more than 18 percent of an entering class is from out of state."
