Uncertain about where to apply and how

Hey everyone,
I am pursuing my Bachelors of Technology (Computer Science) Degree in Delhi University, India. I just got done with my first year, but now due to some government clashes, the course has been scrapped of from our University, so our batch would be the only batch which had the degree of BTech in CS, thus nullifying the credibility of the course.
It is the month of July, and my second year would be starting in a few days, I want to consider the options of going for international studies, as the degree would be of a much better value.
I believe my college doesn't offer transfer also to foreign institution's, so I will have to take a drop and apply for foreign universities as a fresher.
I can't make a call between US or UK. Even if I make a call between US or UK, I am stuck with Fall or Spring.
As in case of Fall, I will get my undergrad degree in 6 years, where is in case of Spring it will take me 5 years (which still makes sense to me).

So now I am stuck with a lot of problems US or UK, then Fall or Spring, then international studies in undergrad or stay in Delhi University and try for postgrad.

I am 100% sure about the course I want to do, and I do not want to deviate from the course.
Also if it helps, I feel, I have a good enough CV, (that means good extra curricular)

Thanks :D

Okay, so I’m a little confused. If you want to get a degree in CS, why would you want to stay at Delhi University if they don’t have that degree as an option anymore?

Also, why would it take you 5-6 years to get a BS in CS? For most people, they can get their undergrad degree in 4 years. If you’re starting over, wouldn’t it be the same for you too?

I also don’t know how much thought you’ve put into the financial aspect of studying abroad. I know that the cost of education in the UK is more reasonable than in the US, but in the US, you could be looking to pay 150k-200k dollars (about 1 crore Indian rupees) for an undergrad degree.

If finances are an issue, I would recommend you finish your undergrad education in India. Come to the US for post-grad if your situation allows you to.

If not, I’d recommend you come to the US. I don’t know much about the quality of CS programs in UK, but I know that in the US, there are many schools that have good programs.
