So, I'm a high school senior with a little bit of a problem. Real original, right? I have been accepted at both UNC and UNCG. My planned area of study is Theatre. Each have really strong theatre programs. I also want to study Communications. Problem is, UNC doesn't offer a minor in Communications, but I could double major or specialize. UNCG has all of the above. UNC is UNC, their campus is beautiful and it is a very prestigious school. It's just so big, and in a theatre major I don't want to get lost in the crowd. UNCG is known for their theatre though. Finally UNC is a tad more expensive $19,000 a year compared to UNCG's $12,000 a year.
If anyone goes to these schools or could offer some more info it would be appreciated.

Chapel Hill is well worth the difference. There are 19,000 undergrads at UNC and 15,000 at UNCG - the difference in size is negligible. These are two very different experiences.

Thanks! It’s really more about the programs that they offer though. It’s a tough decision.

PlayMakers Theater at UNC-Chapel Hill is a professional equity theater so you can get credit towards joining the actor’s guild if you are selected for a performance. However, undergrads are rarely selected for parts unless of course you are really outstanding. According to the link you can have the opportunity to crew. You will get to see great actors and graduate students in the MFA program perform.
