<p>For the question "What were your favorite events (e.g., performances, exhibits, sporting events, etc.) this past year?" should I write about events that I participated in, or events that I witnessed?</p>
<p>I have both been to and participated in several shows this year, but I don't know whether to put the ones I was in or the ones I watched.</p>
<p>I don’t know, I haven’t been to any events at all this past year that I actually enjoyed that much(somehow). I just listed ones I followed closely/wanted to go to.</p>

<p>Do whatever floats your boat. That’s pretty much the best advice for your entire application, actually. Don’t see any of the prompts as literalist fishing-for-something hooks. I put the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s first-ever successful sea-dragon eggs (okay, so not really an exhibit or anything, but it was COOL) and this special bit on Balenciaga the SF deYoung Art Museum had because I loved the mathematical sense of the geometric designs. If it meant something to you, put it down.</p>
