Oh, and exams count as 20% of our final grade. How about you guys?

I have an 84% in algebra right now and I've NEVER had an 84% in anything in my life, so I really need to do well on the quiz tomorrow, test at the end of the week, and the final exam a few weeks from now.

You're kidding, ChaosTheory. Even in primary school? We didn't even have real grades in primary school. (We had numbers until fifth grade.) What grade did it start in?
In the class I have a final in, the final is worth 10% of the grade, and regular exams and quizzes are worth 60%. It was funny; at the beginnging of the year she told us that she knew that would be more than we were used to invested in tests. It was funny because last year in maths quizzes and tests were worth 65% of our grades. :D

i am not looking forward to january...
i have 3 math exams to write as well a unit test tuesday..and my math has dropped from 87 to a 79 for the past month for some reason..so im putting so much pressure on myself right now..
and the fact i have 3 other ones to mind about makes it so much better
and i still have my app and a ssat to write..

Our exams are weighted differently in each class...
World history is 40 percent of our semester grade...I am flipping out...
Spanish is 30 percent..
English is only 10 percent because our teacher is really nice and understands that we are stressed out about all the other exams..
and I have no idea how much math is.

Oh, I see lots of people are stressed about their exams.
I bet everyone in this forum are considered smart in their own ways, so don't worry about it!

Good luck everyone :)

soccerprep, is that for all exams, or just the final? If it's just for the final, I don't think it is a very good system, basing 40% of a student's grade on a single exam. It just seems like too much pressure.
