That is all I did. I’ve never called a college to confirm everything is received. If the website shows everything is received, I figure its on them to send an email or letter if they think something else is missing.

Here is the problem, my son’s email seems to not work well, and I realized we have had no communication with this school since the auditions were booked. We had the same issue with Montclair and it turned out we were not getting information. Indeed, we have never received the emails that were sent with the info on how to even sign in to the website, and they were missing items but could not get in touch with us via email. The other schools we have heard from consistently so this was a red flag that went up for me just today. Do not read anything into this, if you can sign onto the website, you are probably in perfect shape! We still do not have sign in info…

On the website where you check application status, there is a box titled Decision. In that box my S’s now says “Please contact admissions office” Has anyone else seen this? Yikes!

I am guessing no one is in right now…ugh!!!

re: “Please contact the admissions office”

We got that message last year and I called the admissions office asap. I got passed all around the school finally landing in the drama dept talking to Beseda himself. No one at the school knew why that message appeared. It was told to disregard it.

I would recommend calling admissions - not because I think it means anything but because it gives you an opening to call and dig for information as well as confirm all documents have been received.

Thanks SDM!
I am actually relieved to know that it is probably nothing. All his materials are listed as received on that same site, but you are right, it is good to call anyway.

In my daughter’s box for decision it says “UNCSA Admit Decision” Does that just reflect an acadmic decision? Or just waiting on admission decision. What do other people have in the decision box?

I’m with Times3 – this is the one place where technology is too much info. It would be better for everyone if we just waited for letters to arrive.

I may be wrong, but I don’t think there is an academic decision separated from artistic. Since it is strictly a conservatory, they just weigh it all together. If you can’t get in for artistic, you don’t get in at all. Weird that your D’s says that now. And also weird that my S’s says “Contact admissions office.” I am convinced they are trying to terrorize us!

Am I looking in the wrong spot? My S does not have a box that says decision at all. I am looking at the Application Summary. Is there somewhere else to look ActingDad? Thanks!

acting17 – below is what her Application Summary looks like. Do you just have no box that says “Decision”?

That Decision box is the one that says “Contact admissions office” on my S’s. I think until today it said “Application received.”

That is maddeningly unclear.

Yep. No box at all!

If I remember correctly from last year some of the applications changed to call Admissions but there was a mix up and that was to be ignored. Shorty after that the decision section popped up again it said the same thing when some people called they were told to wait for the letter, some were told they were not admitted it was all very confusing.

Acting17: Crazy! Weird. This is maddening on so many levels. Maybe my S’s wasn’t there either until they put that note to contact admissions in.

And actingdad, I agree with glassharmonica, that is maddeningly unclear!

Here is S’s

The lack of clarity cause me to completely disregard it when I noticed it two days ago. I It had been ages since I went on the site and only went on when someone commented about making sure all the info was there. At that point, I had not recollection of what it might have said previously if I even noticed.

If it was really supposed to reflect accepted, I would think “accepted” would be a heck of a lot clearer than “UNCSA Admit Decision” At this point though, it is probably worth a call to admissions for some clarity.

I thought someone said earlier, this was a wait by the mailbox school.

It always has been. I certainly don’t think their intent is to notify anyone through the EZ arts site. Given people who have gotten contact admission office under decision in the past who then find out no one knows why it says that – suggets that they may not have complete control over what the EZ arts site is displaying.

Finally was able to sign on to my son’s account…it says absolutely nothing about any admission status what-so-ever!!!
