Undecided/Undeclared Computer Science

Hi,
I was admitted few weeks ago…
I thought I applied to Computer Science and Computer Game Science(as an alternative)
I end up being accepted as Undeclared?
I saw there are people being accepted into the school but not the major…ex: Engineering/Undeclared
But what I got was Undecided/Undeclared
So I emailed UCI and end up getting this:

Congratulations on your admission to the Irvine
campus. Unfortunately, UCI was not able to
accommodate you into your preferred nor alternate
majors. However due to your strong academic
background, we were able to offer you admission
into an undeclared major. If you are still
interested in your original major, we encourage
you to work closely with your academic advisor
throughout your academic career to discuss your
future academic and professional goals. Keep in
mind, some of our majors can still be extremely
competitive due to space, so your academic
performance on campus will be a major factor that
determines whether or not you will be able to
change into that specific major.

Does that mean I can’t get into their computer science program?
Is it hard for me to get into the school of ICS?
I am also accepted by USD for their Computer Science major…
I am still deciding which school to go to, which is a tough decision to make…
Should I take the risk of not being able to get into computer science or just go to USD?
But there’s also a chance of getting kicked out of their Computer Science right?

You can get into their CS program but you need to take some required classes and do well in them. Here is the link for changing your major and what are the requirements: http://www.changeofmajor.uci.edu/CoM_ICS.html

Like stated in the email, all majors are competitive, so if you meet the requirements you should be able to change IF THEIR IS ROOM. I would go for the direct admit at USD unless there is a huge difference in cost. Good Luck.
