Would like some feedback please! My daughter just realized she is swaying towards Undecided Engineering. She has narrowed it down to Penn State University Park (accepted Undecided), University of Delaware (accepted for Animal Sciences - her 2nd choice) and really liked Rensselaer (waitlisted for undecided Engineering ).We were there yesterday. What are her chances? How easy is it to make Penn State’s and UDel’s Engineering school if going in undecided or changing your major? What is your social life at Rensselaer and do you have any regrets? (the tuition is ridiculous). If not RPI if she does make it, Penn State or UDel? She did prefer a smaller school.
As far as her chances of coming off of the waitlist, last year RPI admitted 77 out of the 2,851 applicants who accepted a spot on the waitlist (see C2 in the link).
The year before, RPI admitted 12 out of the 2,475 applicants who accepted a spot on the waitlist.

I was going to suggest that you also post at the Penn State, Delaware, and Engineering forums, bu I see that you have already done that.
Good luck to your D!
True that the chances are not great, but we are positive and it helps that she is female I was told. Nevertheless she has 2 other terrific choices that are much cheaper. Thanks
If her stats are very good, I’d call or email them and let them know it’s her first choice. Its certainly not a sure thing, but showing them a little “extra love” may help.
