Undeclared Major Better?

Is it better to not declare your major to universities, especially if it is a popular major? I am not too sure if this actually helps during the admissions process but it does make sense. For example, like Johns Hopkins University is famous for their biology/biomedical engineering majors. As an applicant, would it make me look generic if I did put that down as my potential major or would it better if I did not disclose a major, and then just declare it when I attend so-called university?

I don’t think it makes a lot of difference, to be honest. I don’t think that colleges discriminate based on major.
