so ive just declared to uci, but i have a few questions going in:
1. i didnt submit all of my sat ii scores, but the ones i didnt submit are my lower ones, so will that rescind me?
2. even though im really optimistic about going to uci, im still planning to transfer over to usc, ucla, or cal, but particularly for business/econ. however, i was listed as undeclared as my major, so what can i do to make myself transfer over to these schools?
3. also can someone break down what i need for my GE's, im very confused on what exactly i need. do i need it to correlate to my major or is it just the same for everyone?

I was under the impression that you have to send official SAT scores to the UCs before they’ve made a decision (even though you don’t submit your transcript until you’ve been accepted). If so, the report College Board sends has all your scores, so UCI already knows your scores. If you didn’t already send them your official SAT scores then yeah, it’s a pretty big deal if you selectively reported your best scores. If that’s the case, you need to contact the admissions office asap.

Then don’t come to UCI. It’s much harder and more expensive to attempt to transfer from a UC to one of those schools than for those who go to a community college. So, to answer your question, you can improve your chances by going to a community college where it’s easier to do well and way cheaper.

You need to fulfill the university GE requirements and major requirements (which include lower division major requirements) in order to graduate. Often a lower division major requirement will also fulfill a GE requirement.

University GE requirements can be found here:
[University of California, Irvine - Requirements for a Bachelor’s Degree](<a href=“UCI General Catalogue Archives”>UCI General Catalogue Archives)

And major requirements can be found elsewhere in the catalogue.

You can search for classes by the GE they fulfill here:
[Schedule of Classes](http://websoc.reg.uci.edu/)

Either way, they only look at your 2 highest scores, so it won’t matter much there.

A good suggestion is like mentioned, go to a CC and then transfer. Otherwise, keep tabs on the class/transfer requirements with each campus and do well in your classes.
Take initiative. Talk with counselors from UCI and from the respective schools. Make sure you’re not talking with peer advisors because SOME of them don’t know what they’re talking about, and just spit out some random crap which sounds right to them, but isn’t.

GE’s are same for everyone, you’ll learn more about this kind of stuff in orientation; especially if you’re undeclared, they are good at making sure you aren’t lost.
