Under Grad matter for HBS?

Hey all,

The title says it all, here are the schools to compare for under Grad. I've applied to more but the rest are just safeties.

NYU

SCU

USF

Personally I feel like going to NYU does matter because it exposes me to some of the greatest professors in the nation which means a great rec letter, however it will not be cheap and I'd be missing out on the college experience.

As for SCU and USF both are Jesuit school so they tend to love us Jesuit HS students. So it is not uncommon to have almost half out tuition payed for which would mean saving approximately $100,000.

bump bump bump!

http://poetsandquants.com/2011/08/15/top-feeder-colleges-to-harvard-business-school/

also should add that AFAIK most MBA programs (don’t know about Harvard specifically) explicitly prefer non-academic recommenders, so I wouldn’t make the prestige of NYU’s faculty determinative. If HBS is the goal, think about which program will give you entree into the most prestigious/impressive post-college employment.
