GSB under grad matter?

Hey all,

Title pretty much sums up the question. Here are the 3 schools to compare.

NYU

SCU

USF

Personally I feel like going to NYU does matter because it exposes me to some of the greatest professors in the nation which means a great rec letter, however it will not be cheap and I'd be missing out on the college experience.

As for SCU and USF both are Jesuit school so they tend to love us Jesuit HS students. So it is not uncommon to have almost half out tuition payed for which would mean saving approximately $100,000.

If you are aiming to go to Stanford GSB, you should go NYU (Stern?), and not only for the ranking, but also for the endless internship opportunities offered by NYC! I think, if this are your options, NYU is worth the price.

Thats what I was thinking but I’ve been reading so many threads about how undergrad doesn’t matter. But I personally think it does when your applying to a top 5 MBA program but I was wondering if anyone had any factual information.

Many people say that, and they have a valid point of view. What matters is your research, internships, etc… . NYU, in my opinion will offer way more opportunities. It is not like comparing NYU with UCB or Northwestern, NYU has a clear edge this time.

Part of why it doesn’t matter is because you rarely apply for an MBA straight out of undergrad. It’s your work experience afterwards that’s just as important.
