For those of you smart upperclassmen, have you ever had the experience of being looked up to by smart underclassmen? I love this respect and admiration that I receive from freshman and sophomores haha. Like some random genius freshman just randomly talks to you and asks you about what you do and stuff. I just feel loved.

I don't see underclassmen

my eyes don't work that way

Oh wow, you all go to some amazing schools. Mine's a normal one - the popular kids (like the b-boys, pro guitarists, etc) are seen in admiration.

I'm an underclassmen, I guess (soph). I'm not famous or anything (lots of kids here, like 3300+ total), but decently enough (definitely in my grade).

I know quite a bit of juniors/seniors for my school, comparatively, though...in math class and etc. A couple freshman who can't bench like the bar try to own me, but it doesn't work.

Not really. I don't really see underclassmen. I think there might be some in my French class, which is an absolute mess, and a few other classes like Orchestra, but I don't pay much attention to them. People in my grade and the next seem to think highly of me, but it's not like when I was in elementary school or even in 7th grade at my high school and I was both teased and lauded for being academically "perfect" (I'm not).

Not really. I look like I'm 12 because of my height so no one really thinks that I'm a senior.

Not necessarily because of being 'smart', but from my ECs, some underclassmen do look up to me... There are some that I wish didn't though. They don't get a bad reputation for no reason.

I get hero worshiped by the freshmen in my gym class. No idea why, I'm not really that smart. They're all little drama kids, though, and I was a lead in the play.. So that might be it.
I got my friend's boyfriend to sign us up for our Beauty and the Beast audition together, and the next day it was full. Full of what? My adoring freshies. xD It may hinder me slightly, but I think it's sweet that they look up to me.

We don't technically have any upperclassmen at my school, but it is nice when the freshmen and other sophomores ask me for help on things.

Oh, and when an upperclassmen from another school starts talking about underclassmen I politely remind them that I'm also a college student and that they can shut their little HS Junior/Senior mouths up. :)

The freshmen call me Dr. (Insert my lastname). Mostly because I'm the only one to have ever taken calculus and the highest math class currently offered at my school is Geometry... which only has 30 students from both grade levels... so the majority of students are in Algebra I or Algebra I I/2 (Don't ask).

Nanodini, is that you?

ahahahahaaaaaaaaa...
underclassmen are soo cute, they'll do anything to get your attention to "get ahead"
we all know that ambitious freshiesss and sophs are obseqious
nonetheless, sure, they still look up to the uperclassmen

Outside of band I don't really talk to any frosh or sophs.

never happened to me. sure some underclassmen may ask me questions about teachers, which classes to take, etc but I feel that their asking is more for their own benefit rather than out of respect for my 2-3 years on them.

I can't walk down the freshman hall at my school. They are all taller than me. :(

Between stealing their lunch money, and bashing their faces in, they usually have no time for questions.

^ annnnnnd no.

We don't have smart freshmen at my school. There are a couple smart sophomores and they're not ambitious enough to ask for academic advice or help.. :/

Haha, I can totally relate to the OP, kinda reminds me of myself for about the first quarter freshmen year...

I only know one smart underclassmen and she's the top of her sophomore class. It's funny because everyone in our class thinks we are sisters and we are the smartest two in the class.

She doesn't really respect me because she's my friend so she insults me endlessly like all of my other friends, plus she doesn't respect me because I slack off in the one class I have with her and she knows I am the hugest procrastinator ever. Whereas she is the type of person who gets all of their homework done as soon as they get home and never procrastinates on anything.

Although, she did ask about what APs are good for juniors and asked me things like how much work are each of the classes and what not.

I'm shorter than a lot of freshmen/sophomores lol.
