Undergaduate Business Colleges for 2050 SAT

I just got my SAT results back and I am now looking more for colleges. I know I am out of reach for UPenn and Ivies alike but I need to know what are the best 'other' colleges for business and/or economics/finance.
I'd like to go into investment banking or hedge funds post college.

I'd like to major in finance or economics in the highest rated for the college i get into.

SAT: Critical Reading: 670 Math: 690 Writing: 670
I plan to take the SAT II's in Math 1,2 and History.

GPA: UW: 3.66
Classes: I have 1 AP (my school only offers 2) with AP Calc BC
Every other class is taught on the Honors Level.

Extra Curricular Activities with future senior year included:
1. French Honor Society: 3 years, French Honor Society co-president
2. French Club: 4 years, French Club Co - Vice-President
3. Key Club: 3 years
4. TSA (Technology Student Association) : 2 years
5. Orienteering : 2 years

Community service hours: Approximately 100-120
Leadership Positions:
1. Job as Head Football Referee 4 years
2. Assistant head coach of flag football team for 2 years; won 'super bowl'

Jobs:
1. Construction worker (manual labor) 5 years
2. Head Football Referee: 4 years

I plan to found a club called Sports Enthusiasts Club (a coordinating organization for recreations sports in my non-sports playing school)

I want to major in whatever will get me into investments with stocks and securities.
I live in NJ, parents have 60k income combined,

Colleges I like: BC, BU, Northeastern, Northwestern, UVA, NYU Stern, UNC, Michigan Ross, etc.

Let me know what I can do to get into these colleges and if I'd be considered for their business program.

Thanks a lot

A lot of those schools you listed look like they are reach schools too except for BU and northeastern. Look into Babson since they have a good business program. Rutgers business school isn’t bad and does actually send kids to Wall Street (look it up if you do not believe).

i’d remove colleges that don’t offer much aid. i love BU (going there for bus) but their aid is just ugh…

Open up your search to decent schools for economics. will help balance your selection

imo though Rutgers sounds like the best deal for you. dont think you will be getting substantial aid from any of these colleges, (fafsa is a whole nother deal)

Emory? It’s in the south, but I’m going there (even though I’m from the north)

I like it over BC. (I don’t really have an opinion on the other schools) cause I like Emory.

It may be a reach though out of hs. I am a transfer

Your stats might be good enough to get some merit aid from Pace. They are less selective academically than NYU, et al, but located within walking distance of Wall Street, and so they have lots of opportunities for internships, etc.

Emory has full domination over the South but you can’t go wrong with BC (tons of wall st. connections, slight step below ivy)

I would consider taking the ACT seeing how you do and then retaking if your better at that or take the SAT again. You are matchish for BU and NU right now.

I plan to take the ACT’s as a base in June (practice tests are around a 31) and should be able to make it a 32+ by the fall ACT. Is a 31+ ACT better than my current SAT?

You can all but cross off NYU, UVA, and Michigan. Even if you get in, they will be unaffordable for you. NYU is unfathomably expensive and notoriously poor with aid. UVA and Michigan are also very expensive with little to no aid for out of state students. With parent income only 60k, you need to start with financial safeties and work up from there.

BTW, the main campus of Pace is in Westchester. The satellite campus in Manhattan is not a good option.
