Undergrad advice? (Bad GPA w/engineering focus)

My GPA is between a 2.9 and 3.0 due to a heavy workload in the past. I quit to focus on school but after reading some of these threads, it sounds like my chances are not too good. That was to be expected though, with my subpar GPA.

I'm a student from California, and I don't hold out a lot of hope for the California schools for this upcoming Fall semester. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised but maybe not. Can any of you recommend some good engineering/research schools for the fields of Computer Science or Bioelectronics? Schools that would give me greater than a snowball's chance of making it.

I'm also interested in any schools with a strong Entrepreneurship program. Location (different states or even out of the country) are wide, wide open.
