Undergrad Business Admissions?

I’m wondering if the business school at American has different admissions statistics? When you look at the overall school, GPA and ACT are much higher than similarly ranked (undergrad business) schools. I’m wondering if this is because other departments in the school skew the numbers (like poli sci). Does anyone know if this is true? Is it easier to gain admittance into business rather than other areas at American? I would love to know! Thanks!

By the way, here are my stats:

31 ACT

3.1 Unweighted 3.75 weighted

Top ten most challenging public schools in Illinois. All honors and AP classes

Slight grade dip junior year, but back to normal senior year.

300+ hours community service

Volleyball team 4 years and multiple jobs.

What do you think? I would like to go into accounting! Thanks!

You’ll get in. SAT and weighted GPA fit the profile of admitted freshmen. Never hurts that American is looking to expand its undergraduate business program.

U of Illinois has one of the best accounting schools in the country. Unless your looking to get into forensic accounting or other facets of government accounting, you might want to take a second look at your in state school.
