undergrad business && korean community

is emory good for it?
if it is, how good ?

and also, i read posts about the self-segregated korean community.
I'm Korean myself, and I'm one of those international Korean kids..
My high school is really Koreanized so I have to use formal speech style to "show respect" to the upperclassmen. and I hate it!!

Because I am what you would call a "fob," I'm afraid other Fob Koreans at Emory will pressure me to succumb to their fobness -_-
I am already hanging out with Koreans at my high school, although I get along with many non-Koreans very well, and so I was actually looking forward to going to a private college outside Cali for diversity!!!!!
I love Koreans, but sticking to just Koreans won't do me much good.. :(

Ahh sorry for ranting so much

Emory Undergrad business in top 10 in the entire country. Yes, its amazing… about the segregation, I hear the international Koreans self-segregate but it depends on the person… if you choose to mix with everyone, you’ll be accepted. It’s all a matter of personal preferences.

really ? top 10? U.S. News didn’t have Emory ranked in the top 10 though.
neither did several other sources…

Well let’s be honest. Emory was ranked 9 in businessweek, but everybody knows that businessweek is not accurate. According to them, Notre Dame’s Mendoza is better than UPenn’s Wharton… According to people in investment banks I’ve talked to (yes, personal opinions), Goizueta is in an equal level to UVa’s McIntire or McComb, both slightly below Michigan’s Ross or NYU’s Stern. Nevertheless, Goizueta is outstanding.

Yeeboyeee, I bet you will have to follow the korean culture with the Koreans in Emory. You are not Korean-American, and there’s no way you will be able to avoid the Korean community. But as I said in the other thread, you have a choice of belonging both to Korean community and to the general Emory community.

^ Sensation, actually, Goizueta moved up in rankings this year… was ranked 7th… I think USnews has Goizueta at 13th (USnews only shows top 10 unless you pay… but Emory’s website has confirmed that it is ranked 13th)… average those, and you get 10. What I am trying to say is that Goizueta is effing amazing… and you would get wonderful opportunities there.

here is the link to the Businessweek ranking.

why are you such a ■■■■■? just don’t hang out with the fobs if you don’t want to.

i hang out with them becaduse i like being part of the society, not because i “succumbed to their fobness.”

@okwhatitgoingon:

I definitely agree. No doubt Goizueta is amazing!
