Undergrad Business School Help

I am planning on majoring in business, and am going to apply to the following colleges
UPenn (Wharton), MIT (Sloan), and Georgetown (Mcdonough).

From what I have heard from talking to peers and relatives is that when applying to these schools, you select which college you want to attend, so if you are accepted you are already into that college.

Is that true, or do you still have to apply to the business school after you have already been accepted into the University.

Thanks for the help, and sorry for the long post.

Depends on the school. I know that UPenn is definitely an “apply to the program” school, and many other private schools with well known business programs are, because they hold their business applicants to different standards than their other applicants.

Most of the private schools are apply to the program, state flagships such as UMich and UNC are apply after you are accepted.

Ok. Thanks for the help

You have to look at how each school is set up. It is generally clear if you read the website and/or look at the school’s application.
