Undergrad business starting salaries

What are they based on?I heard that the location of the college and GPA+your class rank matter the most to recruiting companies and your starting salary range

I thought its your work experience(s), then GPA, then location.

Quality of college
GPA
Prior work experience
Location of Job

This is kinda makes so sence then.Where do you get work experience if that will be your first job.I mean when you graduate from undergrad college isnt that going to be your first job?

^probably internships/co-ops done while an undergrad (summers, etc.). Also, for location of job, do companies tend to hire those closer to them?

Internships, most top candidates have 2 or 3 good ones under their belt.

For the best info on jobs and salaries students from your school get, check with your career services office. Most have lists with job titles and salaries. There is a huge range of jobs and salaries from school to school. Some will average $40K for a business major and others more than double that. Of course things will be a little rocky for a few years.
