Do any of you know some well-known schools that are not too difficult to get into for a person who is planning to major in pre-med?

I'll bump this up with a comment that you don't "major" in pre-med.

Pre-med is a pre-professional program along with pre-vet, pre-law, and pre-pharmacy. You can major in anything and be pre-med, although most pre-med students are probably majoring in biology. You just have to take the required pre-med courses such as biology and chemistry. Then you take the MCAT's and apply to med schools.

When you apply to med schools, there can be an advantage to being in the top 5% of your class at a lesser school than in the top half of your class at HYPSM. This is analogous to being in the top 5% of your public high school instead of the top half of your prestigious magnet/prep high school.
