undergrad xfer

Hi, I'm a student at SJSU (with consulting/ibanking/finance/or CPA desired jobs) right now looking to xfer out junior year (or after my 60 credits) and GED. I've been looking at undergrad b-school req's and they are similar with some different courses here and there but still vary some. I want to apply to many schools to increase my chances of getting in one and I don't want to be just set on xferring to one school because if say I don't get applied, I'm screwed. So will I have to take all their course requirements before applying? Schools around here don't even have some of the courses needed to get admitted to undergrad b-programs. That might be another semester of courses too, just to apply to another school. Can someone clear this up??

and what do you guys think of SJSU business undergrad program. I know its not a prestigious school, but I heard for being a CSU and in CA, that is it very good although I would like to attend a more prestigious school.

Thanks

CSU will def not help you get into a top investment bank or Consulting firm...

You need to have the pre-reqs done for any of the top schools to consider you competitive

Whats your SAT score/ gpa/ any biz ecs/ you also need a good reason for transferring besides prestige. you are also going to have to explain why you have a ged and not a high school diploma for top schools was it b/c of disciplinary reasons?

Is it worth it to loose credits or take on another year so you can fulfill credit requirements? depends...if you intend on going into banking or consulting...i say yes....coming from a top 20 school will help you tremendously in the recruiting process.

your post might be better served in the transfer forum...

Thanks guys for reading that confusing post
sorry, I meant after i complete my General Ed at sjsu :P and I do have my hs diploma.
I know I won't be able to get into top schools/banks even, but I would just like to xfer out to a better school (sorry if I used the word prestigious, I just meant better) - like ucla, ut austin, davis, anywhere thats better basically

I was just kind of confused because to transfer out you need x and x courses, but they differ from each college. I want to be able to apply to several colleges so it looks like I might have to take another year of those courses like you said.

and I'm still not certain on how good SJSU's business program is... I know it is good but surely going to any of the schools mentioned above wouldn't hurt me right? Any other inputs on SJSU's undergrad and grad business program?

Definitely transfer out. SJSU is good for Big 4 accounting, but I don't hear about too many SJSU alums getting ibanking or consulting jobs.

Obviously since your from CA, the UC system will be more inclined to admit you, however CSU to UC is not that common. Good luck.
