I'm currently a first-year at the College. I'm interested in business jobs for consulting and finance. With that said, can undergrads attend Booth MBA networking events for all the major investment banks and consulting firms? I'm mainly interested in investment banking, private equity, and consulting. If possible, I'd like to be in a group that covers healthcare or chemicals. Any success stories of UChicago undergrads attending Booth MBA events?

Honestly it’s unnecessary. UChicago has an insane amount of i-banking/consulting recruiting going on through the standard channels at the undergrad levels.

If you’re interested in healthcare/chemicals, apply to blue chips - they have a healthcare sector, or industrials if the manufacturing of chemicals is your thing.

A lot of booth events are in the main open area on the first floor, so you can find out when they happen somehow and just stop by and try to network. When I sit there coding for the scenery sometimes random recruiters come up to me and start talking if an events going on.

Anyway, your best shot at getting a job is through CCC and the career office in ida noyes and the ucib/ucib: fm programs, not some recruiter at booth.

I went to MBA networking events in high school. I am sure you can go as an undergrad.
