Undergraduate business (marketing and international business) schools not in California

I would like to look for some business school options outside of California. I live in California, and thus, my parents would like me to attend college in state. However, I would prefer a school out of state. I am looking for a college that has a great undergraduate business program (marketing and international business). So far, I am considering University of Michigan, Boston College, Cornell, NYU, Northeastern, and Syracuse University. I would like to attend a college that is in a suburban/city environment, has great connections, and offers a good amount of financial aid (since I will be coming from out state). Any suggestions?

University of South Carolina has the # 1 International Business school and gives generous merit money for out of state applicants.

Look at Fordham – if your stats are high enough they give merit aid.

University of Washington Seattle is ranked the #1 school in the northwest and #20 nationwide (the latter depending on the list you’re looking at) but I think the Bothell and Tacoma campuses give more aid. The great thing about UW is you’re allowed to take classes at any of the campuses if you get accepted into one so you could have a 3.3 (Bothell’s average) and get a Seattle education (3.8 average I think)! Many of their graduates end up at Microsoft or Boeing

Washington State University, although rural, has am excellent marketing department and gives merit aid like nobody’s business if you’re in the 3.7+ range. A friend of mine took a decent amount of APs, wasn’t all that involved, but had a great GPA so he got a full ride. I don’t know how common it is, but they wanted him to work with the government so they’re payed for his apartment in Olympia from his sophomore to senior year. Oh, and they have a good reputation for getting people great internships.

Seattle University is one of the best private schools IMO, I’ve done less research into them but I know they have a good business program, give enough aid that it can cost less than a public uni, and they’re located in the heart of downtown Seattle but still keep a “nature-y” feel on campus. It’s a great campus (plus you’d be guaranteed housing). It’s less prestigious than UW, but more so than WSU…oh, and don’t let the fact that they’re a catholic school scare you off, the campus is very chill and many of the students aren’t religious themselves. And since this is not a party school many of the students go to UW Seattle on the weekends so you can have your choice.

I don’t know enough to go off about them, but other schools you should check out are the University of Portland and the University of British Columbia Vancouver. They have great business programs and they’re in the city.

Indiana University Bloomington is on my list for marketing, It is well ranked and super good
