Hi everyone!.
My name is Riccardo, I'm from Italy and I would ask you some questions...
I found last week this amazing forum because I'm starting to search some information about which are the Universities with the best Marketing undergraduate program in the States.
If you don't known, I please ask you which are the U with the best Businness program.(just to have an idea)
If is possible I prefer a University in California because I' ve friends there but I've no problems.
My first choice is Marketing...
It's always been the dream all my life.

I'm sorry for my english and I truly thank you for your answers
Riccardo

i dont think any top-tier california school has marketing major...there are some advertising major...
however...if you dont mind east coast, nyu seems to be very popular among international students...

USC has a great business program and also a fairly strong marketing major...they are also very welcoming to international students
Recruiting is also great if you want to work in California

yup.
Its actually ranked 11th in the nation
Here are the USNWR Rankings for marketing

Berekeley has arguably the best program in california. but its really difficult for internationals to get in. Plus you will have to reapply your sophomore year so even of you do go there you might not get to do business

You guys are great!.
If is possible I would ask you another question.
The Marketing undergraduate program in the Us in the list is totally 4 year to reach the Bachelor right? Is It a separate course like for example law or is only an exam in a business program?.
Thank you!.

This is exacly what I'm looking for.
So all the University in that list have more or less this program?
Obviolusly something will change but the main subject is the same. Right?
I'm sorry if I seem to be stupid but i wanna be sure! :D

Hold on. Most of the colleges on the list above are PUBLIC universities, funded by taxpayers in the state the colleges are located in. They give first priority to students who live instate- University of Calif is highly competative for OOS/ International applicants[ less than 5% are accepted each year]. University of Texas, University of Michigan are also very competative . Private Universities- University of Penn, USC, can accept anyone they want. So you need to do a lot more research.

Thank you menloparkmom.
So,
-in a PUBLIC University the admission is very competative but it's not impossible because the priority is for students who live in state.

-in a PRIVATE University they choose who take...but here in Italy everyone think (wrongly?) that is more difficult an admission in U like Stanford, Penn State, Brown, Harvard and so on that are privates...
But if a University is private and they choose who take they try to take the best students, right?.
Probably there are some Universities that accept more frequently International students (USC?).

wait, wait, wait.
As an International student, you are going to have a hard time getting a "fat envelope" from EITHER a top 50 private [Stanford, Penn State, Brown, Harvard] or public college[ UCB, UM], because all of the top schools receive from 4-10 times more applications than they have space for. The real equation is top 50[ or so] USNews rated colleges= most selective/ hardest to get into. But you don't need to go to an elite college to get a great education! In the US there are around 3000 ADDITIONAL colleges, both private and public. Around 2500 of those accept more than 75% of applicants. You can get a great education at thousands of other colleges in the US.

Ok,
Just for my personal curiosity : I would ask you if the top 50 U are also the hardest schools in the States.
And usually the international students are well accept in the Universities by the other students or are they a bit detached?
Are there some U more helpful than others with International Students?Which are these Universities?
I ask you all these questions to have a global idea of your university system so that I can choose the best for me.

This forum is great, I'm founding lots of answers here

Kingsitaliano, before recommending universities, it would help to know a little more about you. I assume you are in the process of acquiring a "diploma di maturita". How are your school grades (in terms we can understand)? Have you taken the SAT/SAT 2?

It would help us narrow the list if you could provide us with some academic credentials.
