My son didn’t get into issnberg@umass Amherst, instead he got accepted into UMASS Amherst as an economics major. We are in state. He also got into penn state smeal u degrade business school, OOS cost is 50K. What are your thoughts? Is it worth the money? Or stay Instate at UMASS with the economics major. The plan is eventually investment banking, MBA. Thanks

All kidding aside. If the extra 20k is not a burden the direct admit at PSU might be a good choice for you. It shows you how tough UMass is these especially isenberg that you were declined instate but got into smeal direct admit which is a really good school.
no point spending the money since none of these will play a big role in landing an IB job - it would have to be something else - he can also go to a masters program after undergrad at which point either schools will provide the same opportunity
